• All language model (LLM) processing happens locally on your device.

• Your conversation history and learning progress are stored only on your device.

3. Permissions

The app requires the following permissions to function:

• Microphone: To capture your spoken English for real-time speech recognition and pronunciation feedback. Audio is processed on-device and never transmitted.
• Storage: To store AI models and your learning progress locally on your device.

4. On-Device AI Models

Nila AI uses on-device AI models (ASR, TTS, and LLM) that run entirely on your phone. These models are downloaded once during initial setup and do not require an internet connection to function afterwards.

5. Children's Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since all processing is on-device and no data is transmitted, the app is safe for users of all ages.
